'It's been a blast' Piers Morgan gets emotional as he says goodbye to Good Morning Britain

Viewers may have been unimpressed by Piers' efforts to replace Ben Shepherd, who has been on leave, at the start of the week. However, they began to warm to him as the days went on, with people practically begging producers to make him permanent for the past day or so. And despite co-hosts Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid both joking that they'd had enough of Piers from day one, it seems like they're actually going to miss having him on that sofa. Saying his goodbyes while eating chocolate cake with Kate and Mary Berry on this morning's show, the 50-year-old got rather emotional as he said that it had been an "amusing week for everyone" and that he'd "had a blast". Piers also said that his time on the show had "been a lot more fun than he feared it was going to be" and that he'd "miss everyone massively" .
